Biography


Training
My passion for the world of wine was born thanks to the territory that has always surrounded me: the hills of Langhe Roero and Monferrato, a landscape recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
I gained my work experience after graduating as a winemaker in 1991 at the “Istituto Tecnico Agrario Umberto I “ in Alba, known as the Alba Wine School.
After having been the head of the analysis laboratory in one of the main wine consultancy firms in Monferrato, I worked as a winemaker in a wine company and then at a multinational Company leader in the wine sector.
My professional growth continued as winemaker in “Braida di Giacomo Bologna” for almost twenty years.
New working life
In July 2018 what I like to call my second working life began, becoming a wine consultant.
My will is to bring my thirty-year experience to the firms where I find myself collaborating today.
My professional goal is to personally and constantly follow every phase of work from the vineyard to the winery because for me a good wine is born only from an excellent production chain.
The main grape varieties that I pay attention are: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Freisa, Dolcetto, Cortese, Timorasso, Grignolino, Moscato, Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc, Arneis.
This list is certainly only partial as my interest and passion for the world of wine is always looking for new horizons and new opportunities.
